Student Council - Your School, Your Say

The School Council play an important role at Kenton Bar Primary School, acting as the voice of the child. It is our aim is to give every child at Kenton Bar Primary School the opportunity to share their views and opinions surrounding the school. These views are communicated to staff through each classes school councillor.

One representative is democratically elected from each class. Their job is to voice the opinions of their class at regular meetings.  We then work together as pupils and staff to accomplish our goals for Kenton Bar Primary School.

The children recently met with Miss Vaughan, Pastoral Lead, to write a child friendly safeguarding policy. They then shared this with their classes, explaining their important work.

Making Decisions

During the Summer Term, the school Council have been involved in a very important job! Amy in the kitchen very kindly invited them to try some of the new items on our lunch menu. We got to sample some of the delicious food and give our opinions. The food got a big thumbs up from us and we know all the other children are going to really enjoy them too! Thank you to Amy and all the kitchen staff!
