Primary Engineers project
Fri 21 Apr 2023On Tuesday 18th April, three of our children represented our school at the Primary Engineers Celebration morning at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle. Harley and Bhaavya were our Year 6 team who were able to put their trains to task that their groups back at school had made over the past seven weeks. They did a fantastic job, received participation certificates and did our school proud!
Eva in Year 2, held the torch for her year group and her train was put through its paces and finished top of the ramp challenge where it landed exactly on the spot with the most points. Adding this to a very impressive interview about how she had made her train, by representatives from Stadler and the Reece Foundation who sponsored the event, she went and won first place! She received a Primary Engineers hat, medal and certificate!
Well done to all three children who were marvellous!!

Bank Holiday for State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Tue 13 Sep 2022Monday 12th September 2022
Dear Parents and carers,
NOTICE OF SCHOOL CLOSURE
State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - Monday 19th September 2022.
Following the sad news last week of the death of the Her Majesty, details of the funeral arrangements have now been published.
As a mark of respect all schools in the Smart Muti-academy Trust will be closed on Monday the 19th, which has been designated as an additional bank holiday.
This will allow our staff children and their families to mark, in their own way, this historic and significant event in British history.
Registers for this day will be marked as additional holiday and absence will not affect attendance monitoring. During the remainder of the mourning period all schools remain open, and pupils are expected to attend as usual.
If any events in your school will be affected by this special closure, please contact the school directly and they will advise what arrangements have been made.
Regards,
Colin Lofthouse
CEO
