   Cultural Match Programme

   

  We are delighted that we are one of twelve schools from across Northumberland, North Tyneside and Newcastle who have been successful in an application to the ‘Cultural Match Programme’.  The aims of the programme are to connect children and young people, schools and communities with art and cultural opportunities and experiences, each programme responding to the needs of the school. The programme will give our pupils opportunities to take part in cultural activities, enable them to visit cultural venues, and help with their learning across the curriculum.  It will connect with our early career teachers and help them build their confidence working in partnership with cultural organisations and allow them to share the learning across the school.  We can’t wait to get started!

  This programme is managed by Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums and supported by North of Tyne Combined Authority. 

• School of Sanctuary Award

  We are delighted to officially become a School of Sanctuary, which has been awarded for the positive experiences and welcoming offer we give children seeking sanctuary. Mrs Gray and 3 students had a fantastic day at The Great North Museum collecting our award and celebrating.
